Ridgewood’s Hellbender — the recently opened Mexican-American restaurant and bar in Ridgewood, Queens, helmed by Chef-Partner Yara Herrera (formerly of Momofuku Ko, Xiolen, Sobre Masa) — is teaming up with Hera, the Brooklyn-based roaming restaurant founded by Chef Jay Rodriguez, for a summer celebration pop-up on Monday, September 23rd and Tuesday, September 24th from 5-11pm.

Menu highlights include:

Five Spice Smoked Olives with leek oil and tamari

Mushroom Carnitas Tacos with smoked avocado mousse, salsa macha and chipotle

Duck Leg Confit Croquettes with herbed aioli, caramelized onion and pickled pepper

Summer Melon with yuzu kosho yogurt, curry and cucamelon

Dishes are served alongside pitchers of margarita and other classic cocktails in a casual space with booth seating and eclectic design touches, including a giant taxidermy jaguar, creating a fun and lively atmosphere. There will also be live DJ sets and inventive beer cocktails from Talea Beer Co. using the last of their seasonal summer beers. Reservations via Resy
