Ferdi, the recently opened nostalgic Italian restaurant from sibling co-owner Fernando and Aida Scarpati, and beloved cookbook author and first generation Italian-American Rossella Rago, are offering dishes tied to the release of Cooking with Nonna: 130 Italian Recipes for Sunday Dinners with La Famiglia.
On Sunday, December 11th, Ferdi will be offering specials from Cooking with Nonna like, Chicken Francese – Papá Vito’s favorite thing to order at an Italian-American restaurant; Veal Piccata with lemon caper sauce and shallots; Orecchiette Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Italian-American Style; Escarole with raisins and pignoli nuts; and Cannoli Tiramisu with sweet ricotta cannoli cream paired with slightly bitter espresso and lady fingers, bejeweled with candied fruits, crushed pistachios and mini chocolate chips.
Additionally, Rossella’s grandmother, Nonna Ramona, will be preparing freshly made pasta during the dinner and Rossella will be signing books, which will be available for purchase.
