Portland-based ice cream maker Salt & Straw is popping up across the Upper West Side for a special back-to-school ice cream sandwich series, partnering with some of New York City’s most beloved brands — Levain Bakery, Breads Bakery and PopUp Bagels.

Salt & Straw will pop-up at each of the three shops, on the Upper West Side, with the following schedule:

Friday, September 6th @ 3pm - Ice Cream & Cookies at Levain Bakery

Featuring decadent and gooey Levain cookies topped with a scoop of ice cream. Choose between a Two Chip Chocolate Chip Cookie with Sea Salt With Caramel Ribbons ice cream, or a Rocky Road Cookie with Chocolate Gooey Brownie ice cream. Purchase a cookie, get a free scoop of ice cream. Available exclusively at Levain’s Amsterdam location [351 Amsterdam Ave], beginning at 3pm until supplies last.

Saturday, September 7th @ 1pm - Bagel Ice Cream Sandwich at PopUp Bagels

The ‘not famous but known’ bagel destination is offering scoops of Salt & Straw’s Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons and Strawberry Coconut Water Sherbet (v) Salt & Straw ice cream sandwiched between a hot, fresh Salt bagel for a unique savory-meets-sweet combination. Free item for first 100 customers. Available exclusively at PopUp Bagels Upper West Side location [338 Columbus Ave], beginning at 1pm while supplies last.

Sunday, September 8th @ 2pm - Babka Sundae at Breads Bakery

The quintessential New York bakery is serving a warm slice of their cult-favorite Chocolate Babka, a choice of Salt & Straw’s Double Fold Vanilla or Arbequina Olive Oil ice cream, and topped with maraschino cherries, nutella fudge and candied hazelnuts. Available as a complimentary item exclusively at Breads Bakery’s Upper West Side [1890 Broadway], beginning at 2pm until the last scoop.

The pop-up series comes ahead of Salt & Straw’s highly anticipated New York City debut this fall, when it will open its first ever shop in the city in the Upper West Side, followed by a second shop in the West Village.
