The highly acclaimed drama “The Lehman Trilogy” is set to begin performances on Broadway on Saturday, September 25, for a 14-week run at the Nederlander Theatre. The play is written by Stefano Massini and adapted by Ben Power, directed by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Sam Mendes, and will star returning original company members Simon Russell Beale and Adam Godley, with award-winning actor Adrian Lester joining the cast.
Weaving together nearly two centuries of family history, this epic theatrical event charts the humble beginnings, outrageous successes and devastating failure of Lehman Brothers, the legendary financial institution that would ultimately bring the global economy to its knees in 2008.
Previous productions were seen at New York’s Park Avenue Armory and London’s National Theatre and Piccadilly Theatre. A Broadway run for Spring 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
