Where to Celebrate Like a True Scot this Tartan Day in NYC

Grab your kilt because Tartan Day is calling in New York City beginning with this year's parade.
NYC Tartan Day Parade
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the 27th annual NYC Tartan Day Parade will march up Sixth Avenue from West 44th Street to 55th Street. This vibrant display of Scottish culture features bagpipers, drummers, and Scottish clans. Actor Alan Cumming is this year's Grand Marshal.
Scotland's Hoolie in New York
Also on April 5, at 8:00 PM, Carnegie Hall hosts Scotland's Hoolie in New York. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the event features performances from renowned Scottish artists like Mànran, Julie Fowlis, Dougie MacLean, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Oban High School Pipe Band..
Post Parade Party at Sony Hall
After the parade on April 5, continue the festivities at Sony Hall with live music from bands like The Rollin Drones, The Laurettes, and Reely Jiggered. It's a perfect way to celebrate Scottish culture into the evening.
NYC Highland Dance Competition
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM, the inaugural NYC Highland Dance Competition will take place at 55 Battery Place. Dancers will showcase their skills in this cornerstone of Highland culture.
NYCC Annual Tartan Week Brunch
Also on April 6, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the New York Caledonian Club hosts its annual Sunday Scottish fry at The Tailor Public House. Enjoy traditional Scottish brunch fare accompanied by live traditional Scottish music.
