The Case of NYC's Missing Mermaid is now Closed

The case of the Mermaid Bandits is over. New York City restaurant Holywater reports that “two regulars kindly tracked her down and brought her into the bar” on Saturday evening. The restaurant thanked everyone for their assistance which is “greatly appreciated,” adding now it’s time for some drinks!

The drama unfolded last week when the restaurant showed images of the suspected thieves on its Instagram page. The images and video have since been removed. A real-life whodunit or a publicity stunt? We may never know. What we do know is the mermaid is back on her perch. Case closed!
