Chef Sal Lamboglia has opened a second restaurant in Carroll Gardens called Swoony’s. Located at 215 Columbia Street, Swoony’s once was a restaurant called 215 Cucina Napoletana, where Lamboglia’s father worked in the early 2000’s.
With the overwhelming success of Cafe Spaghetti, he is highlighting the charming Brooklyn neighborhood as a major food destination with Swooney’s featuring classic American bistro fare.
The menu at Swoony’s is built around classic proteins and hearty sides. Look for steak house classics, fresh seafood and bar fare.

Menu standouts include Clams Casino topped with green peppers, bacon, and breadcrumbs; Whipped Goat Cheese topped with chili crunch and cucumbers served on grilled sourdough; Lamb meatballs with cucumber yogurt, harissa honey, and mint; Swoony's Burger, a double patty with special sauce, pickles, American cheese served on a potato bun; and Seared Halibut served with brown butter, leeks, and cauliflower; among others.
Walking into Swoony’s, guests are greeted by the warm tones, a rich mahogany bar that seats 12, and handmade wooden tables lining the main dining rooom. The original tin ceiling also remains honoring the restaurant’s heritage.

Much like at Cafe Spaghetti, Lamboglia spent months visiting antique shops hand-picking decor for Swoony's. A dynamic cocktail menu has also been created offering specialy drinks like The Adonis, sherry with sweet vermouth and orange bitters; Swoony’s Spritz with olive, thyme and cava; and Casablanca with gin, sherry, and vermouth with saffron.
