The Good Batch, the Brooklyn bakery from pastry chef Anna Gordon known for its cult favorite cookies, ice cream sandwiches and layer cakes, is opening its first Manhattan location on Saturday, April 1st at the highly anticipated Hudson River Park’s Market 57 (25 11th Avenue). The new food hall from the James Beard Foundation, located at Pier 57, is showcasing the culinary and cultural diversity of New York City.
The Good Batch is best known for its soft, chewy and not overly sweet cookies, such as classic Chocolate Chip, Tahini Chocolate Chunk, Brown Butter Salty, and Buttercrunch, and Confetti. For the debut of this new location, The Good batch is offering some new cookies including the Cherry Blossom Cookie, an ode to April in NYC. It's a brown butter shortbread sandwich cookie filled with housemade strawberry-shiso jam, topped with white chocolate and raspberry-dusted coconut
