The Rockwell Group and the CIVILIAN Hotel have announced the installation of a new art exhibition by 10-time Tony Award-winning artist Tommy Tune, featuring his acrylic-on-oil canvas works, as a new addition for its theater-inspired Olio Collection. Tune’s art pieces, titled “Self Portrait” feature seven original works on canvas and “Flight,” which consists of four original works on paper.
“I love to paint,” says Tune “If you can be in a constant state of creativity, that’s the dream. Whether it’s audiences inside a theatre, or guests of the CIVILIAN’s masterfully curated hotel, I strive to activate the imagination with my art.”
Tune’s Broadway credits, as both a performer and director, include “Baker Street,” “How Now Dow Jones,” “The Will Rogers Follies,” “Grand Hotel,” “My One and Only,” “A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine,” “Seesaw” and "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.”
