This Fall, Baar Baar, a modern Indian restaurant from chef Sujan Sarkar in the East Village, is hosting a special dinner to raise funds for World Central Kitchen's "Chefs for India" initiative in response to the country's surge of COVID-19 infections.
Sarkar will be teaming up with chefs Dale Talde (Goosefeather), Justin Bazadarich (Oxomoco, Xilonen, Speedy Romeo), Sungchul Shim (Kochi), and Naseer Armar (ROOH SF) to create a five-course collaborative tasting menu for one night only. Guests will also be able to purchase raffle tickets at the dinner for a chance to win handbags from Simitri – a handbag and accessories line founded by Gayatri Chopra and Simran Kaur that are inspired by their home in New Delhi. 100% of proceeds from the dinner and the raffles will be donated to World Central Kitchen.
