Pretty Ricky's on the Lower East Side is billed as a neighborhood gathering spot, long on simple pleasures. The "beer-forward" format comes from the group behind establishments like Boulton & Watt, Mr. Paradise, Drexler's and Paper Daisy. Pretty Ricky's boasts more than 20 beers on tap, a bottle reserve list, as well as original cocktails with names like The First One, Ricky's Cooler and Disco Shrimp. It also has its own Beer Club where enthusiasts can attend weekly events and dinners with beer pairings. Executive Chef Jeremy Spector (Gramercy Tavern, Balthazar and Employees Only) is offering a full service menu that includes everything from smoked chicken wings and porterhouse steak for two to grilled bread with duck tallow and roasted oysters. As for the space, look for a modern concrete bar, large sharing tables and mid-century walnut furniture. >>
