Anto Chef’s Counter Takes Diners on a Gastronomic Journey

Michelin-Starred Chef Kim Jeong-Muk is heading up the Chef’s Counter at Anto, part of the Korean Steakhouse’s fine dining experience on the Upper East Side.

Chef Jeong-Muk, formerly of Myomi in Seoul, is the youngest chef to ever earn a Michelin star in Korea and is known for his contemporary vision of Korean Cuisine.

The 10-course tasting menu features dishes like Seafood Leek Pancake with coconut, squid, and scallion jam; Carabinero Shrimp with tomato gochujang, rhubarb, omija, and finger lime; Aged Hudson Valley Duck with sunchokes, artichokes, soybean paste, and caramel; and Beef Short Ribs with ginseng, black garlic, and sevruga caviar. For dessert, there’s a Semifreddo with mung bean powder and persimmon.

Wine Director, Joo Lee, formerly of Eleven Madison Park in NYC and Saison in San Francisco, is offering two curated wine lists at different price points specially designed to match the 10-course menu. With an inventory of 4,900 bottles and 740 selections, Anto’s wine program recently won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2023.

BAR MILLER FROM ROSELLA TEAM DEBUTS IN EAST VILLAGE

The centerpiece of the space is a 12- seat counter located on the second floor in a fusion of traditional and modern design. Anto's Chef's Counter offers one seating per day at 6:30 Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, visit anto.com
