Happy Hour (one of our favorites) arrives at Essex Pearl at The Market Line. Think oysters ($6 for a half dozen pristine East Coast bivalves) and beer ($5 bottles of Radeberger Pilsner). But that'swhere the similarities end. Chef Daniel Le is showcasing Southeast Asian fare including Indonesian Fried Chicken glazed with tamarind, and skewers, sold in pairs, including Australian Tiger Prawns seasoned with housemade Malaysian Sambal Belacan. Available daily from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. except Monday and Tuesday, when the restaurant is closed.

Boy, how time flied. La Devozione is marking its first anniversary at Chelsea Market. In celebration, they will be offering 20% discount on packages of their 126 pasta shapes and Pastificio Di Martino’s signature pasta tins (Dolce & Gabbana and Barbie by Mattel excluded) from November 17th to November 21st.

One Fifth, Marc Forgione’s newest restaurant, is now offering lunch. Look for things like pinsa (similar to pizzas), greenmarket vegetable soups and salads, along with grilled paninis. 2 courses for $33 or a la carte. Reservations via Resy.

The Ice Skating Rink is back at the Seaport featuring a unique Northern Lights installation this year. The November 22nd kickoff includes live DJs, skyline views and special ice skating performances. The rink is located at Seaport Square between Piers 16 17. Admission is free with your own skates. Skate rentals are also available.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is set to arrive November 12th at Rockefeller Center with live performances by The Rock and Roll Playhouse and Puppetsburg. The event kicks off at 10am and is free and open to the public.

Ignacio Mattos' Lodi will be holding its own Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration on Wednesday, November 30th from 7:30-10pm. It includes a grand selection of canapés, cocktails, champagne, and red and white wines from an open bar. Tickets are $300 per person. Tickets via Resy.

Gamehaus in Long Island City (5-14 51st Ave) will be opening its doors at 6pm on Saturday, November 12th for the UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereria. The venue will welcome revelers for its first major pay-per-view fight by offering no-cover all night long and a 1-hour well open bar from 7:00 – 8:00 PM during the pre-lims before the main event.

Rainhas Churrascaria is tracking all of the action at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Queens-based Brazilian steakhouse has five large TVs on hand and seating space for almost 300 to catch every goal with bites, craft cocktails, international wines, and champagne to help celebrate the excitement of each game. Happening Nov 20-Dec 18.

Nick Jonas and John Varvatos (founders of Villa One) will be hosting a tequila tasting on Monday, 11/14 from 3pm - 4pm ET at Dos Caminos (373 Park Avenue South). The informal meet and greet will involve Nick and John hopping behind the bar to mix drinks, pose for photos, and chat about the Villa One brand.

From November 15-23, LGDR (19 E 64th St) will open Shields, an exhibition reflecting on Günther Uecker’s seven-decades-long engagement with nails, paint, and graphite. The presentation brings together all nine paintings in the artist’s most recent series Shields (2022), a new and related series of works on paper, and a pivotal but rarely seen sculpture from 1967.

Until next time, we'll be seeing you Around Town!
