Get into the holiday season at the Garret Coctelería's new hacienda-style hideaway in NoLita. This holiday season, the cocktail bar is launching Feliz Cocterlería, a festive indoor + heated outdoor pop-up (running from 11/27-12/30). Feliz Cocteleria features new seasonal cocktails, indoor and outdoor Latin-inspired holiday decor, and three heated, outdoor Mezcal Cabins covered with holiday lights and adorned with colorful throws to keep diners cozy.

Merry additions to the cocktail menu include snow globe ice spheres, color-changing tea-infused ice cubes, and spicy renditions of traditional holiday beverages, like The Epazote Hot Toddy, made with the medicinal herbs used in Mexican teas and dried Guajillo pepper-infused Bourbon; Rocco’s Hot Cocoa featuring mezcal and green chartreuse marshmallow; and A Lump of Coal, in which tequila washed with mango butter and blackberry is blended with the Chilean red wine grown in volcanic ash, to darken the drink

Amigo by Nai, the taqueria and cocktail experience, is offering a new Aperitivos menu from Chef/Owner Ruben Rodriguez. Highlights include Tostada De Tartare, a 45-aged prime ribeye on a nixtamal tortilla with Pedro Ximenez sherry vinegar, cilantro and lemon; Esquite De Maiz Gratinado, husk sweet corn with Panela, Queso Fresco and Manchego cheese with cilantro and serrano pepper; and Pescado Frito, fresh Atlantic cod and squid with Pedro Ximenez sherry vinegar, black ink aioli and chipotle aioli, among a few others.

Guests can still also enjoy their taco offerings with Acosta’s Carnitas as well as Chef Rodriguez’s Rabo, oxtail, red mojo and shishito peppers with an optional side of consommé, and Coliflor, shawarma roasted cauliflower with avocado lime chimichurri and marcona almonds. Specialty cocktails include Hunt for Red October with Michter’s bourbon, apple brandy, allspice, apple, lemon, honey and cinnamon.

Paisley's Chai Chocolate Mousse

In anticipation of National Mousse Day on November 30, Paisley, the upscale Indian restaurant in Tribeca, is offering a delicious way to celebrate. Michelin-starred Chef Peter Beck (RaaSa, Chola, Tamarind) has created a Chai Chocolate Mousse featuring Parle-G cookie crumbs, strawberry, blackberry, orange whipped cream, and chocolate chai spice. The classic dish with a twist is $12, and is available for takeout and delivery on Caviar, DoorDash, UberEats and GrubHub. Guests can call the restaurant to place orders for pick up and order on OpenTable for pick up only.

On Saturday, November 28, Theater for the New City (TNC) will present the third installment of "Open 'Tho Shut," its afternoon of "walk-by theater" that is staged in its set shop and visible from East Tenth Street between First and Second Avenues. The program offers a succession of free, live performances in which acts are staged in the theater's set shop for audiences of socially distanced passers-by, who watch through an open garage door on East Tenth Street. The shop was renamed "The Chopshop Theater" for this series. It is outfitted with an elaborate set by Mark Marcante and Litza Colon, full stage lighting and a four-mic sound system. Performance will be held from 2-3 pm.
