Around Town - The State Fair Crazy Shake, Japanese-style Sangria and a new Hans Haacke exhibit

If you can't get to to the state fair, this might be the next best thing. Black Tap and Ample Hills are teaming up to put a “state fair in a cup” with the custom CrazyShake and CrazySundae. The shake is topped with kettle corn, fried Oreos, whipped cream, state fair sprinkles, caramel drizzle, a deep-fried Twinkie... and a cherry. It's available through August 18th.

Little Beet Table is now offering Watercress Guacamole served on corn tortillas along with the LBT Margarita made with watermelon juice, tequila and served with an ancho chili salt rim.

Aburiya Kinnosuke is offering a Japanese-style sangria called Shochu Bachiwari. Guests can choose from a selection of Shochu paired with your favorite fresh fruit and herbs. It's delivered to the table with ice, glasses and a wooden ladel.

is joining the 100-Year club on Arthur Avenue. It coincides with over 20 years of the Ferragosto Feast in September;and the 2nd Annual New York Pizza Festival in October with over 25 participating pizzaioli featuring different styles of pizza from all over the country.

The New Museum announces the first major U.S. exhibition of Hans Haacke in over thirty years.
Hans Haacke: All Connected” will bring together more than thirty works from across the artist’s career, from the 1960s to the present.. It wll be on view throughout the Museum’s main galleries from October 24, 2019, to January 26, 2020.
