And it’s the end of the line for NYC’s 99 cent slice. One of the few final holdouts, a 99 Cent Pizza Shop on 43rd and 7th Ave in Times Square just jacked up the price of a slice by 50 percent. Slices now cost a buck-50 as of June 1st. But with prices at some other popular pizza joints (and some not so popular ones) going for more than 4 bucks a slice, it’s still not such a bad deal. But they should ditch the 99 cent sign which is now misleading.

Until next time, we’ll be seeing you Around Town!
