British Pop-Up Dame finds a permanent home in the Village

Dame, which got its start as pop-up at Round K on the Lower East Side, is moving to much larger digs in the South Village. The English restaurant setting up shop on MacDougal Street next to Dante Café as a wine and provisions destination, called Dame Deli & Bottle Shop. More than 50 wines are offered at any given time.

Provisions to-go include things like Bean and Anchovy soup ($10), Squid in Tomato Oil ($8)and Saffron Potted Shrimp ($9). Dame plans to open a full-service restaurant next door (in the former Fukurou space) next spring. In the meantime, Fish & Chips are being offered for takeout on Fridays and Saturdays.
