Here are three things making us happy in New York City at the moment:
At Steve’s II in Brooklyn’s Bath Beach, we are big fans of this Philly-style hero filled loaded up with pork, broccoli rabe and sharp provolone found at Steve’s II Pork Store at 1602 Bath Avenue.
At the Immaculee Bakeryat 1411 Nostrand Avenue in East Flatbush you will find folks lining up for these flaky Haitian-style patties with flavorful fillings such as beef, chicken, vegetable and fish.
We finally made it into George Motz’ Hamburger America at 51 MacDougal Street in the South Village where the juicy burgers are stacked high and grilled to perfection. Add in a chocolate egg cream and this place is golden.
