Grain de Sail, the only wind powered cargo sailing ship delivering Organic, Biodynamic & Natural French wines, is docking at One15° Brooklyn Marina this month. In addition to delivering its prized goods to New York City area restaurants, for the first time ever, the sailing ship is partnering with the Marina’s restaurant Estuary to allow the public to partake in the ultimate organic, biodynamic tasting experience!

On May 11th and May 18th, after meeting the Grain de Sail team and sailors who delivered the bottles to New York, customers will receive a “Wine Sail” featuring five of the boat’s biodynamic wines (1 Sparkling, 2 Whites & 2 Red) personally selected by Grain de Sail’s Wine Director Matthieu Riou. Each of the bottles featured will also be available for purchase. Customers may also choose to pair their meals at Estuary with their Wine Sail. The May 11th tastings are being held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and the May 18th tastings are available from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and slots can be reserved for free via Eventbrite.

During the Wine Sail tastings on May 18th, Grain de Sail Founder Jacques Barreau will also speak during this month’s Brooklyn Green Drinks, a monthly networking event at Estuary where leading environmentalists and sustainability advocates convene and share goals/projects that are spearheaded by Sierra Club President Ramon Cruz.
