Lodi, the stylish Italian Cafe at Rockefeller Center from Ignacio Mattos (Estela, Altro Paradiso), is the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine or maybe an espresso along with one of their excellent pastries. One of our favorites is the Torta Della Passione filled with neon orange passion fruit curd. It has an addictive tartness to it. There's also a slight crunch from the passion fruit seeds sprinkled on top. The tart is lined with a light-as-air white chocolate cream with flecks of vanilla along the edges. It's outrageously good.
Also in season right now, are the utterly addictive linzer cookies with rhubarb jelly marking the arrival of spring. The cookies come with light a dusting of powdered sugar. Enjoy!
