Nana’s Green Tea Has Something Brewing in NoMad

Nana's Green Tea, the popular Japanese matcha café with 73 stores worldwide, now has a location in NoMad at 1250 Broadway.

This sprawling 1,700 sq ft space is described as more than a café, it's a cultural bridge between traditional Japanese tea with a modern twist. This "Modern Tea Ceremony House" boasts international design awards, blending modern aesthetics with traditional charm.

The award-winning design concept, termed a "Modern Tea Ceremony House," incorporates wood and stainless steel with minimalist black, white, and natural tones. Original artworks like "Cha-tsuru," "Tale of Genji," and "Cha-bana" adorn the space, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional tea house. Kyung Rim Choi, the force behind this franchise, says the New York City location is “providing a space where everyone can discover and enjoy the rich heritage of matcha as part of their daily lives."

The menu ranges from the simple to standout matcha drinks and desserts. Highlights include the Matcha Parfait layered with premium matcha and locally sourced seasonal fruits; Matcha Latte Frappe, a refreshing blend of rich matcha and creamy milk, served cold; and Matcha Top Grade Espresso, a bold, concentrated matcha shot, offering the essence of matcha in its purest form.
