Singaporean Amy Pryke, chef and founder of Native Noodles, will be collaborating with Singapore-based chef Jeremy Cheok (Slake) as part of the Singapore Food Festival’s (SFF) line-up of exciting and immersive culinary events in the U.S. The buzzy, contemporary, Native Noodles located in Washington Heights, quickly established a loyal following for its modern interpretation of Singaporean hawker dishes, since opening in February 2021. Together, Amy and the visiting Jeremy have crafted a special menu featuring their take on classic Singaporean dishes that will be available for a limited time at Native Noodles from October 5 through October 17.
Featured dishes will include:
- Cornflake Shrimp Paste Chicken Lollipops (Har Cheong Gai), $10 - Frenched chicken drumettes marinated in umami prawn paste, coated with seasoned cornflakes and fried
- Chili Crab Fat Fried Rice, $13 - An indulgent take on Singapore’s iconic Chili Crab dish
-Singapore-style Hokkien Mee, $16 - A beloved local noodle dish made with a mix of yellow and rice noodles braised in a rich, aromatic shrimp and pork stock with scrambled eggs and seafood
*The special menu will be sold at Native Noodles (2129 Amsterdam Ave) as ala-carte items from October 5th to 17th for walk-in customers (option for either take-out or dine- in).
In addition, as part of the celebration, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream has also created a selection of three Singaporean-inspired flavor profiles of ice cream and a popsicle available in-store and for shipping starting Monday, October 4. Visit for Morgensternsnyc.com for details
