Just days after opening a makeshift cocktail bar high above the city at the Empire State Building, PDT aka Please Don’t Tell, is at it again. PDT was among the first speakeasies in New York City with its cocktail bar hidden behind a phone booth at Crif Dogs in the East Village.
PDT’s new pop-up, Calle San Marcos, will be open all summer long featuring agave-forward craft cocktails, hot dog chef collabs with Crif Dogs, and more. PDT owner and award-winning bartender Jeff Bell, and longtime PDT bartender Victor Lopez, are adding a bit of Mexican spirit to a small slice of Saint Marks Place.
Look for signature cocktails like La Perla with Del Maguey Vida, yellow Chartreuse, lime, Ricard Pastis and fresh oregano; El Tucán featuring Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila, grapefruit, lime, cucumber, basil and Jarrito Toronja; and La Piña – Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila, lemon, pineapple, celery and St. Germain.
Chefs Enrique Olvera and Rick Bayless are also collaborating with Crif Dogs on fun hot dog and tater tot offerings to pair with the cocktails. Offerings include Bayless Dog, a crispy chicken milanese dog with black beans, napa cabbage, pickled jalapenos, cotija cheese, avocado-tomatillo salsa and cilantro crema; and Tortazo Tots with Baja crema, Valentina hot sauce, cotija cheese, cilantro and red onion. There is also the bacon-wrapped Chihuahua Dog and Nacho Tots.
PDT is located at 113 St Marks Pl, New York, NY
