When designing the prefect pastrami sandwich look for layer upon layer of the tenderest pastrami with lots of spices around the edges and with ribbons of fat ensuring that the meat is moist. That is what you will find at Pastrami Queen at Moynihan Train Hall. Served between two slices of soft rye bread it is a delight to behold.
Aside from Pastrami, visitors will also find scrumptious corned beef and other deli meat that can be served as double or triple-deckers with coleslaw or potato salad. The stand is also serving potato pancakes, homemade knishes, matzoh ball soup, franks and even a frank wrapped in a knish.
You can buy your food to eat at the nearby food hall or take it to go on that train ride home. Either way you won’t be disappointed. Moynihan Train Hall is located at 350 W 33rd St in Midtown in the converted Post Office building.
