Chef/owner Soogil Lim takes inspiration from his classic French culinary training and experience at Restaurant Daniel, as well as his Korean background, to create a six-course Spring Chef’s Tasting Menu, perfect for a celebratory dinner with mom. Dishes include the Spring Duo of a bite sized pastry shell filled with a pea mousse, white asparagus, fava bean and pea shoot, and foie gras mousse with pistachios and glazed fig. La Mercerie, Soho’s premiere French dining destination by Roman and Williams, offers a special prix-fixe menu for Mother’s Day this season. The meal begins with pastries and Harry’s Berries for the table. The menu features ethically reared slow-roasted rump, beef dripping potatoes, roasted cabbage, roasted carrots, Yorkshire puddings, bone marrow and onion gravy, and the option of adding cauliflower cheese as a side. Traditionally, a Sunday roast was prepared by roasting large joints of meat on a spit over an open fire.
