Soogil (108 E 4th St, NYC)

Chef/owner Soogil Lim takes inspiration from his classic French culinary training and experience at Restaurant Daniel, as well as his Korean background, to create a six-course Spring Chef’s Tasting Menu, perfect for a celebratory dinner with mom. Dishes include the Spring Duo of a bite sized pastry shell filled with a pea mousse, white asparagus, fava bean and pea shoot, and foie gras mousse with pistachios and glazed fig. The menu also features Caviar + Tuna with Black Diamond Kaluga caviar, bluefin tuna, crème fraiche in a potato ‘taco’ shell, and Beef Wellington, beef tenderloin, mushroom duxelles, prosciutto in phyllo pastry with 24-hour soy bordelaise sauce or Wagyu with song-yi mushrooms, ramps, pinenuts. For dessert, it’s a choice of the playful Jenga Tower of stacked crispy corn “churros” topped with black sesame gelato or Mango Sorbet nestled in a meringue with vanilla bean mascarpone and strawberry sauce. Le Jardinier

Michelin-starred Le Jardinier is the perfect Springtime setting for guests to indulge in a three-course Mother’s Day menu ($155pp) where fresh produce and local ingredients take center stage. Typically closed on Sundays, Le Jardinier will be open Mother’s Day Sunday, May 14th from 11am-3pm. Options include Savory Waffle with Royal Kaluga Caviar; Grilled Yellowfin Tuna, Lime Crème Fraiche, Shaved Fennel, and Orange; and Gulf Shrimp, Creamy Polenta, Coralline Bisque, Snow Peas, and Lime. Brooklyn Winery is excited to host Mother’s Day brunch at their new location in a spacious, sun-filled atrium. Treat mom to a brunch featuring classic favorites such as House-made Challah French Toast, Vegetable Frittata, and Shakshuka, as well as a variety of pastries and hors d'oeuvres. Adults can imbibe in bottomless beverages, including mimosas, bloody mary's, and delicious mocktails, while kids can enjoy the on-site photo booth and card-making station. On Mother’s Day, OL’DAYS will offer live music and a free takeaway dessert for moms who visit, in addition to its existing menu of healthful dishes and herbaceous mocktails (perfect for the expecting moms). Brunch highlights include French Toast (with maple syrup and fresh fruit), Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (with grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, homemade chipotle sauce and arugula on ciabatta bread), The Forest (almond pesto, carrot hummus, melted cheese and portobello). Perfect for a stylish and relaxing Mother’s Day meal, Sereneco serves seasonal New American fare in a bright and airy space (with wraparound patio seating when weather permits). Essential by Christophe, chef Christophe Bellanca’s first independent restaurant on the Upper West Side, will be offering a beautiful four-course dinner menu on Mother’s Day to celebrate the launch of their Sunday service. At Chef Hiroki Odo’s THE GALLERY, in the Flatiron neighborhood, which pays homage to the arts as well as Japanese food culture, Chef Odo's Mother's Day Tasting Course is being featured on Sunday, May 14th. This special five-course tasting menu will be offered for lunch and dinner and will comprise of toro tartare with osetra caviar and ikura; Chef Odo's Kushiage Selection (six skewers); A5 Japanese wagyu hotpot; selection of sushi omakase, finished with housemade milk soft serve. Priced at $125 per person excluding tax and gratuities. Zaytinya (1185 Broadway, NYC)

For Mother’s Day, Zaytinya will be serving a 4-course prix fixe brunch ($64 per person) and la carte specials in addition to the regular weekend brunch menu. Mother’s Day Brunch highlights include Pastirma with Apricot, traditionally cured loin of beef spiced with cumin, fenugreek, apricots and roasted pine nuts; Asparagus Tzatziki, Greek yogurt with asparagus, dill, garlic and lemon; Menemen, Turkish style scrambled eggs with tomato, feta, and olive oil; and Mushroom Kapnistá, smoked mushrooms, dates, roasted walnuts, cumin, and labneh. At Dowling’s on the Upper East Side, Executive Chef Sylvain Delpique has created a 3-course prix fixe menu ($165 per person) and each mom will receive a complimentary Valmont gift set. Mother’s Day Brunch highlights include starters like Red and Golden Beets (mache, piquillo, walnuts, goat cheese and saffron yogurt), Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (brandy cocktail sauce), and larger plates, including Croque Madame (French bistro ham, sauce mornay, parmesan sunny side-up egg), Goat Cheese Quiche (spinach, fennel, tomato, arugula), Agnolotti (jumbo lump crab meat, ricotta, english pea pesto), and Cherries Jubilee prepared tabeside for dessert. La Mercerie (53 Howard St, NYC)

La Mercerie, Soho’s premiere French dining destination by Roman and Williams, offers a special prix-fixe menu for Mother’s Day this season. The meal begins with pastries and Harry’s Berries for the table. Guests can choose between greek yogurt with seasonal fruit and honey, a grapefruit, avocado and shrimp cocktail, or a house-smoked salmon tartine for their second course. Finally, the main course choices are the well-known and loved crêpe complète with egg, ham, and cheese, a vegetable quiche, a nicoise salad or a croque monsieur. The menu includes some of Marie Aude-Rose’s favorites from her brunch offerings and can be enjoyed en plein air in the only Roman and Williams-owned and -designed garden in New York, as well as inside the restaurant, where Flora Field Studios flowers bring the garden to your table, making for the ideal Mother’s Day setting. $70 prix-fixe. The recently opened luxe modern Indian restaurant Goa New York from Chef Hemant Bhagwani will debut their brunch on Mother’s Day 11am-3pm kicking off with a special menu, cocktails and a DJ spinning a chillout mix. Guests can choose 2 or 3 courses, starting with dishes like Shrimp Balchao Toast with a spicy tomato-chili-tamarind sauce; Lamb Leg Bao steamed buns with 48-hour marinated roasted lamb leg; or savory Vegan French Toast Indian-style masala toast with turmeric, ginger, garlic, and chilies. Desserts include Rosewater Jamun Cheesecake with a cardamom jaggery syrup; traditional Goan Bebinca layered cake with coconut kulfi (ice cream), and more. NARO (Rockefeller Center, Rink Level)

NARO, a new venture from the team behind Atoboy and Atomix, will be offering a special five-course tasting menu to celebrate Mother’s Day. Lunch reservations are available from 11am-2pm and dinner seatings are available from 5-8pm. Offerings include tangpyeong chae (mungbean nelly, chilled vegetables, choganjang), halibut sooljjim (root vegetable namul, chervil, chungju broth), and eggplant bap (walnut, daechu, chrysanthemum), with a selection of showstopping Korean desserts from pastry chef Celia Lee. $125/person. Archer & Goat will offer brunch all day 12pm - 7pm on Mother’s Day with a la carte menu and $25 one hour bottomless mimosas. Guests can enjoy Breakfast Arepas with hanger steak (or cauliflower), poached organic eggs and cilantro hollandaise; A&G Hot Chicken Sandwich & Fries spicy fried chicken with maple aioli and pickled strawberries; Spiced French Toast with rose whipped cream, orange, date and pistachio crumble. Available from 12-5 PM, Hawksmoor's Sunday Roast is ideal for celebrating Mother's Day with family and friends. The menu features ethically reared slow-roasted rump, beef dripping potatoes, roasted cabbage, roasted carrots, Yorkshire puddings, bone marrow and onion gravy, and the option of adding cauliflower cheese as a side. Traditionally, a Sunday roast was prepared by roasting large joints of meat on a spit over an open fire. Available from 12 - 11 PM, Bar Bedford, the new cocktail bar from Bar Lab Hospitality at Moxy Williamsburg, is offering a complimentary glass of 2021 Pét-Nat from the Loire Valley to moms on Mother's Day. For those who would prefer a non-alcoholic offering, the team will provide a Lyres Amalfi Spritz. Across from the bar, Gather Brooklyn is hosting a Charm Bar pop-up from 10 AM - 2 PM featuring sustainably crafted jewelry from local artisans. Next door, moms dining at Mesiba, the new Israeli restaurant from Bar Lab Hospitality at Moxy Williamsburg, will be treated to a complimentary ‘Kisses’ dessert with their meal. Available from 5 - 10 PM, the dessert features Vanilla meringue shell with Chantilly cream, black currant semifreddo, and fresh berries.

Gabriel Kruether (41 W 42nd St, NYC)

For those in the mood for a luxe Mother's Day out, Chef Gabriel Kreuther is preparing a 3-course and 5-course prefix tasting to celebrate. On Sunday, May 14, lunch is available from 11:30 AM - 2 PM with a 3-course prefix at $215pp and a 5-course tasting at $275pp. Dinner is offered from 5 - 9 PM featuring a 3-course prefix for $235pp and a 5-course tasting for both the dining room and Kitchen Table at $275pp. Seasonal specials will include a caviar cart featuring sustainable Ossetra Caviar accompanied by local Cornmeal “Gâteaux” and Buttermilk Espuma, French White Asparagus Cooked in Kombu & Clay served with Farm Egg Aioli, Celery Root Cream and Imperial Kaluga Caviar, Poached Farm Egg with Champagne Spaetzle, Morel Mushrooms and Spring Vegetables Carbonara, Spice Roasted Golden Snapper, Marinated Carolina Rice, Green Asparagus and Parsley “Callallo” and a Mother's Day Dessert Trolley. For the ultimate showstopping spring desserts, Chef Eunij Lee at Lysée is offering her signature Mother's Day Collection available in store and for preorder at lyseenyc.com. Preorders will be available for pick up between May 10 - 14. Mother's Day offerings include Lysée 2023 Madeleine Collection featuring five flavored madeleines: yuja, raspberry, chestnut, "Lysée" brown rice, and chocolate ($40). Chef Eunji has also prepared a Strawberry Charlotte Cake with Harry's Berries strawberries and jam, Fraise des Boise, Vanilla Cream and Lady Finger Biscuits ($95). The seasonal tart to celebrate spring's arrival is a Strawberry Tart featuring Harry's berries strawberry & jam, honey cream and almond tart shell (Individual: $17 Medium: $82 Large: $125).

Pecking House, the Chinese fried chicken restaurant by Chef Eric Huang in Park Slope, was created with families in mind. The accessible design allows parents with strollers to easily navigate the space, welcoming people of all ages. Pecking House’s menu isn’t only for adults – they serve a wide range of kid-friendly dishes, such as the Naked Fried Chicken, Dirty Fried Rice, Cheddar Cornbread with Apple Honey Sauce, Chicken Salt Fries, and Peanut Butter Pudding with Chocolate Ganache.

WAU on the Upper West Side is gifting moms who dine with them on Mother’s Day, a complimentary Lychee Spritz (The Lychee Spritz is available in limited quantities and there are also non-alcoholic spritz beverage options available). Wau is also featuring a special dish just for Mother’s Day lunch and dinner – a Jimbaran style Pompano fish with house-made Sambal Belado (the fish is marinated in a spice paste and then grilled). James Beard-awarded Chef François Payard isoffering a prix fixe brunch at Southold Social, as well as heartwarming cakes at Southold General. Highlights include the Payard Cheese Soufflé, Little Ram Oysters, Housemade Cavatelli, Seared Salmon, and a 10oz Peppercorn NY Strip Steak. For dessert, guests can choose between the Southold Chocolate Dome, Buttermilk Panna Cotta, and Payard’s Pavlova. And what better way to show your mother or maternal figure how much you love her than with a slice of your heart? Well, metaphorically, anyway. Down the street at Southold General, Chef Payard will be serving two variations of Heart-Shaped Cakes, intended to serve 2-4 people, in white and dark.

As Mother's Day approaches what better way to show love and appreciation to mom then by treating her to a brunch at Mollusca, a stylish restaurant in the fashionable Meatpacking District. On Sunday, May 14th, from 11 am to 4 pm, highlights from Mollusca’s Mother’s Day brunch include: A stunning display of fresh strawberries on ice, complemented by a free-flowing chocolate fountain, and a cocktail designed especially for mom and playfully named Mom’s Sippy flavored with Hibiscus-infused Roku Gin, vanilla syrup, fresh strawberry, fresh lemon, and egg white; a delectable cocktail to toast mom’s happiness and love. It pairs perfectly with Mollusca’s new brunch menu.

Cathédrale, known for its coastal-inspired cuisine, is toasting mom with a special Mother's Day brunch. On Sunday May 14th, Cathédrale will open for brunch starting at 1PM. The full menu will be available like Diver Scallops with Swiss Chard and Grilled Baby Artichokes with Sauce Vert and 100yr Balsamic, along with brunch specials like Lobster Benedict and Crepe Suzette. Desserts include Chocolate Soufflé and Honeycrisp Apple Beignets. Upon arrival each guest will be treated to complimentary sparkling wine, setting the tone for the entire meal.
