Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, on the corner of First Avenue and St Marks Place, is almost ready to open. We're told opening day hinges on getting the gas turned on and that could be a week or a few weeks. As we reported earlier, the shop will be open 24 hours a day with a contactless ordering system similar to the automat. 32 different types of dumplings will be offered including Pastrami, Bacon Cheese Burger, Lamb Gyro, French Onion Soup, Philly Cheesesteak and Peanut Butter & Jelly.
UPDATE: An Instagram post from Brooklyn Dumpling Shop says, "Con Ed has approved gas to store - Now 3 weeks to prepare > to our Grand Opening!"
