A Palestian bistro is opening in what was a former garage a stone’s throw away from Industry City on 36th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Work is still continuing, but it appears the restaurant will have exposed brick and floor-to-ceiling windows. On the roof of the one story structure there is a small room being built suggesting rooftop dining to come.
The team behind the venture is Ayat, which operates a popular Palestinian restaurant on 85th Street in Bay Ridge. Look for traditional dishes like beef and chicken shawarma, mansaf ( a type of lamb stew), falafel and hummus.
Ayat is located at 274 36th Street, Brooklyn, NY
