The Wild Son, an all-day café is moving from its corner location at 132 First Ave and St Mark’s Place in the East Village to a new lunch counter space next door at 130 First Avenue.
A menu update is also part of the move. Look for favorites like the Good Morning Sunshine and the Grandma Anna egg sandwiches, plus a few other lunch sandwiches including fried mortadella, a double patty burger, buttermilk pancakes, blueberry corn waffles, and hearty, healthy salads, alongside a robust coffee program and selection of teas and juices.
The restaurant’s new hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. The renovated space has 10 seats indoors at the refreshed counter, and 20 seats outdoors in a space that will be heated during colder weather.
As for what’s happening to the corner space at 132 First Ave: The team from Endless Hospitality will be briefly updating the space and opening a brand new cocktail bar/restaurant called Bar Lula. Bar Lula will take inspiration from modern French bistros and the bold flavors, colors, and culinary traditions of Mexico.
Stay tuned!
The Wild Son is located at 130 First Ave, New York, NY (212) 727-7900
