After 70 years in business, owner Frank Giordano decided it was time to hang up his apron and retire. In a Facebook post, his daughter Josephine wrote:

“It’s bitter sweet to inform you guys that we are closing our doors after so many years. My dad is finally retiring at 77 years old. We thankfully have done very well and felt it was best to close once my dad was ready. It’s time for him and I to enjoy our families. We want to thank everyone who has given us the opportunity to serve them.”

John Travolta returned to Lenny’s in 2018 for the 40th anniversary of the film. Many in the crowd today were ordering a double slice in his honor, in a neighborhood still loyal to its Italian roots. [See Video]
