Shota Omakase, located in Williamsburg, will be marking its One-Year Anniversary next Wednesday and Thursday, 8/14 and 8/15. To celebrate, the restaurant is offering his regular 18-course menu ($199pp) augmented by an additional sushi course and a dessert for two days only. An exclusive sake pairing will also be available as a separate purchase to elevate your dining experience.

Chef Cheng Lin is known for its Edomae-style omakase experience prepared with high quality, seasonal ingredients, including a rare seven-year aged vinegar from Japan, two-year aged shoyu, meticulously selected Inochi No Ichi rice (one of the few restaurants in New York to source it).

Fish for courses include Tokujo Uni (sea urchin) from Hokkaido, Zuke Akami (lean tuna) from Ehime, and Sawara (king mackerel) from Fukuda, all sourced directly from Japanese fishermen. Traditional techniques are used to ensure the humane dispatch of the fish and the utmost preservation of its quality while placing an emphasis on marinating, curing, and the aging of the fish.

Shota’s 18-seat counter is open from Tues-Sun and offers two seatings a night, at 6pm and 8:30pm, with an additional 8-seat counter opening soon.
