Smillie Pizza at Il Buco
March 5, 2021, 12:40.12 am ET
Chorizo
Chef Justin Smillie is known for serving up tasty pizzas at il Buco Alimentari & Vineria. Now he's offering seven varities on-the-go at Smillie's, a pop-up located inside il Buco. The pies are available for takout and delivery.
The pizzas range from Green Chorizo with charred onions, mozarella, provolone and pepperoncini to a traditional margherita with mozzarellla, Grana padano, basil, sea salt and Umbrian olive oil. Feel free to add on things like arugula and sausage.
Cacio Pepe
The star of the menu is the Cacio Pepe Pie, an unctuous white pie topped with fresh mozzarella. fontina, ricotta, pecorino and lots of black pepper. It was our favorite of the three we tried.
Other varieties include Kale & Anchovy, Funghi, Soppressata Picante and Mortadella. All of the pies are cooked in il Buco's wood-fired oven and have a nice chew. The pies range in price from $17 to $23 and come with four large slices. To order via Uber Eats click here
