Hinsch's Closing After 63 Years
October 11, 2011, 10:59.59 pm ET
Details

***UPDATE*** Hinsch's SAVED*** The owners of Skinflint's will reportedly reopen the restaurant with the same menu****Stay Tuned***

Hinsch's, an institution in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, is shutting its doors after 63 years. The diner, which outlasted a Chock Full o' Nuts on the corner and The Green Tea Room on 86th Street, couldn't survive this latest economic downturn. The owners opting for an early retirement instead of renewing their lease. We'll remember Hinsch's for its egg creams, homemade chocolates and tuna sandwiches.
