KING CRAB FEST

Momofuku Ssäm Bar is launching its King Crab Fest for groups of 4-6 people Monday through Wednesday. Chef Max Ng is offering crab three ways. The first course features whole king crab legs poached in shio kombu butter, grilled and split just before arriving at the table. The second course features the king crab body, which is steamed, batter-fried until crispy and coated with a salted duck yolk sauce, fresno chilis and lightly fried fresh curry leaves. For the third course, Max cooks the knuckles and claws in a re-creation of his Grandma's secret Kuala Lumpur-style hokkien noodles with Napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms and Chinese broccoli. Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge is gearing up for the Summer season with a new cocktail menu that is infused with fresh fruits and vegetables, and a new light bites menu. HALFWAY TO OKTOBERFEST

Loreley Restaurant and Beer Garden is getting an early start on Oktoberfest this year with two Halfway to Oktoberfest parties on May 11 and 18. ROOFTOP YOGA

Starting on Tuesday, May 28, The Rooftop + Pool at The Williamsburg Hotel will host morning yoga classes in collaboration with SYNCSTUDIO, a local boutique fitness studio. SAKE PAIRING

Sushi Ginza Onodera is hosting a special sake pairing dinner featuring three breweries and special guests from Japan on May 14. The two Michelin-starred restaurant will feature 15 courses including the restaurant’s signature edomae-style sushi. Sake Sommelier Yuki Minakawa will pair sakes from three prestigious breweries; Tomita brewery in Shiga (founded in 1540), Marumoto brewery in Okayama(est. 1867) and Nakao brewery in Hiroshima (est. 1871). Representatives will introduce their sakes and answer questions. Attendees will also receive a special Joto Sake cup to take home as a souvenir. Dinner with pairings is $450 per person. more

JUST CHEEKY

Fish Cheeks, the vibrant Thai restaurant in NoHo, is launching a new Spring and Summer menu with fresh takes on Thai staples. Look for dishes like Crab Aob Woonsen (baked crab tossed with vermicelli noodles, pork belly, cilantro roots and celery leaves); Manila Clams (wok-fried with scallions, roasted chili jam, sweet basil and garlic); and Whole Fried Fish (served in a Bangkok-style sour orange curry with fingerroot ginger, Napa cabbage, sunflower sprouts and morning glory). Cocktails include the Passion Trip with Pimm’s Cucumber, passion fruit puree, honey, lemon juice and a housemade bird’s eye chili tincture. more
