French toast takes an international turn...

- Mediterranean spot ZIZI, in Chelsea , is offering Buttermilk French Toast with shredded halva, date honey, toasted almonds, fig yogurt, berries and berries.

- Newly opened Thai Diner in Nolita is serving Thai Tea Babka French Toast with condensed milk butter as part of its all-day brunch menu.

- Diners at yakitori spot Maison Yaki can lean into their late-night cravings with the Monte Cristo Sandwich made with housemade brioche French toast, ham, Gruyère and a side of umeboshi jam.

Catching the Cacio e Pepe wave…

- Bergamo's award-winning Chef Tien Ho (Má Pêche, Ssam Bar) is introducing a Cacio e Pepe Dip that blends grated pecorino cheese, coarsely ground black pepper and cream cheese. It’s served with Carta di Musica flatbread for dipping.

- Executive Chef Emanuele Baldassini is serving up playful Cacio e Pepe Lollipops at Antica Pesa in Williamsburg, offering a taste of the indulgent flavors.

- New Bed-Stuy bar, Bar Camillo, is making Cacio e Pepe a star in one of its Roman Pinsas (soft, doughy pizzas) with mozzarella, pecorino romano, black pepper, and sage.

- At Maialino, the savory flavors are being worked into Cacio e Pepe Soft Scramble Eggs for brunch.

Irvington Restaurant, near Union Square, is partnering with Orin Swift Cellars to host a one-night only tasting dinner on Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00PM, featuring a four-course meal created by Chef Michael King, paired with premium wines from Orin Swift’s vast portfolio. Think Seared Salmon with oyster butter paired with Blank Stare, Sauvignon Blanc (2018), or Roasted Duck Breast with cherry jus matched up with Machete, Petite Syrah (2017). $75 per person (not including tax + gratuity).

National Margarita Day is Saturday, February 22. To celebrate, Fish Cheeks has a Thai-inspired Margarita called the Spicy Mango with Blanco Tequila, mango puree, cilantro agave, lime, and Thai Bird’s Eye Chili Tincture. Boqueria is adding some Spanish flair and heat to its Shishio Margarita using Shishito-infused tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup, Pimiento de Padron and a salted rim.

LEYLA, the Turkish spot on the Upper West Side, is doing Happy Hour daily from 5 pm – 7 pm. Cocktails include Perfect Istanbul (Rye Whiskey, Cocchi American, Antica and Sour Cherry) and the Votka Visne (Vodka, Campari & Sour Cherry) priced at $10, as well as Turkish wines by the glass for $9 and a selection of beers for $5.

Burmese restaurant Rangoon, in Prospect Heights, is offering Menu Testing Nights this Thursday, Friday and Saturday with new items offered on a first come first served basis. They include Prawn Fritters with sweet potato; sprouts and tamarind ketchup, Coconut Chicken with egg noodles, rice cracker and lime; and Braised Pork in banana leaf.
