Seaport Cinema returns for another season. Located on the Rooftop at Pier 17, Seaport Cinema offers movies and spectacular views of the New York City Waterfront. This year, all of the films were voted on via Instagram and will be announced on May 23rd. Doors open at 6:30pm with a start time of 7:30pm with seats available on a first come, first served basis. Also at the Seaport, The Fulton by Jean-Georges will be celebrating the unofficial start of summer with a Crawfish Boil on May 23rd at 6:30pm. The multi-course feast starts with a seafood tower and sashimi. The second course includes a crunchy soft shell crab, with a crawfish boil as the third course with corn on the cob and red bliss potatoes. $288 per person. Reservations here.

Taste of Tribeca will be held on Saturday, May 20th featuring global cuisines from some of Tribeca’s finest restaurants, including The Odeon, Bubby’s Tribeca, l’abeille and Locanda Verde. Yves will be offering Grilled Merguez Sausage with beluga lentils, rosemary-mustard sauce, and harissa, while Tiny’s offerings will include Tuna Tartare with crostini, shallots and chive oil, and Tater Tots with cheddar cheese, chive, and Tiny’s secret sauce. The event is held from 11:30am to 3pm between Greenwich and Hudson. Money raised benfits local schools. Tickets here.

May 25, 2023, marks National Wine Day, and what better way to celebrate than to raise a glass or two. Gaby Brasserie at Midtown Manhattan’s Sofitel New York is offering diners a 50% discount on a glass of wine from Gaby’s wine-by-the-glass selection (excluding champagne) with the purchase of an Assiette de Charcuterie the week of May 21 – 27. The appetizer includes pate en croute and rosette de Lyon, served with pickled vegetables, mustard and country bread.

Midnight Theatre at Hidden Leaf is hosting a cheeky rock and roll variety show on May 19th at Manhattan West called The Blind Tiger hosted by Chelsea Ng. The show features Lucky Stiff, Amy Jo Jackson, Andrea Flow, Lily L’Noir, Samantha Melina and Josh Batts. Doors open at 9pm. Ticket are $25.

Food Curated will profile Zack & Diana Wangeman, the co-owners and chefs behind Sobre Masa in Bushwick. Viewers will learn about the making of masa and tortilla production while learning more about the couple's mission to support heirloom corn farmers in Mexico. The episode will be shown Thursday, May 18th at 8pm on the NYC Life Channel, CH 25.

At Fulgurances Landromat in Greenpoint, Galen Kennemer, the former Executive Chef at Bianca will take over the kitchen for a one-night-only dinner on May 23rd showcasing his passion for food. Tickets for the tasting menu are $125 with an optional $85 wine pairing. Tickets can be purchased here

ARTECHOUSE is launching Beyond the Light in collaboration with NASA. The exhibition is a unique artistic expression of NASA’s scientific discoveries, including newly analyzed galactical data captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, that offers audiences the opportunity to explore the universe through the innovative use of technology-driven art. Beyond the Light opens to the public on June 1, 2023, at ARTECHOUSE NYC, before traveling to Washington, D.C., in the fall. Ticket info can be found here.
