Le Jardinier is hosting a Valentine’s dessert demonstration led by Michelin-Starred pastry chef of The Bastion Collection, Chef Salvatore Martone, on Tuesday, February 13 from 6-8 p.m. Guests will start their experience gathered in the kitchen of Sereine, Le Jardinier’s new luxury event space located on the second floor of the restaurant with a glass of champagne while Chef Salvatore demonstrates the art of culinary excellence through delicate chocolate creations. After the demo, guests will be ushered into the dining room of Sereine where they will indulge in savory courses of Chilled Beau Soleil Oysters, a Savory Waffle with Royal Kaluga Caviar and Wagyu Beef Sando. They can then try the sweet creations made by Chef Salvatore, including L’Orange and Chocolate Genoise, a Velvet Heart with Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse and Dark Chocolate Crémeux. Tickets are limited and start at $225 per guest (inclusive of the demo, food and a glass of bubbles), and a wine pairing offering is available during the experience for an additional $115 per guest. Eli's Table, the Upper East Side, seasonally driven restaurant and wine bar founded by iconic New Yorker Eli Zabar, will be hosting chef Harry Cummins [formerly of globally beloved Michelin-starred Frenchie in Paris, and current owner of Le Mercerie, Livingston, and Petrin Couchette in Marseille and Chardon in Arles] for a one night only pop-up dinner on Wednesday, January 31st. Also, Eli’s Night Shift will be hosting chef Valentin Raffali [formerly of Le Mercerie and current chef-owner of Livingston in Marseille and recent Top Chef Paris finalist] for a pop up on Saturday, February 3rd.

European grocery chain Lidl, with its cult following in its home of Germany and throughout Europe, has just grown even stronger roots stateside with the opening of its 174th U.S. location at Queens Place Mall in Elmhurst. Visitors will discover hard-to-find cheeses, fresh baked pastries, top-quality produce and household products.

Dry January is continuing at Romer Hell's Kitchen, a hotel right in Times Square. It’s offering Dry January Happy Hour this Thursday, January 25th with its Boisson's booze-free wines in addition to their very own non-alcoholic blueberry mezcal mojito.

Ellen’s Stardust Diner in Times Square will celebrate the month of love by partnering with Moulin Rouge! During the month of February, any couples who get engaged or host an intimate wedding at the Diner, will receive complimentary tickets to Moulin Rouge. A new “rouge” milkshake is also being introduced, complete with strawberry ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, heart-shaped cookies, a chocolate strawberry, and Valentine’s Day sprinkles. Available at $21.

And this might be one of the best deals going, Bora Bora, a smoothie café in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is offering a free Balthazar croissant with the purchase of a coffee for breakfast. The shop is also known for its croffles, crepes and mini pancakes.
