Easter in NYC Brings Lamb Roasts, Jazz Brunch, Bonnets & Giant Eggs

Easter in New York City is a joyful blend of tradition, indulgence, and springtime spirit. Whether you’re seeking a luxe brunch, a Greek-style lamb roast, or a 16-pound chocolate egg, the city has you covered.

At The Standard Plaza, Easter morning kicks off with indulgent brunch fare at Hedge & Hearth and a whimsical Easter egg hunt in the outdoor maze, where Lil Sweet Treat candies and cocktails make it fun for all ages, April 18-29 from 11am-3pm.

Four Twenty Five and Grand Brasserie offer upscale Easter dining with a European flair—one in a modern Midtown skyscraper, the other beneath Grand Central’s iconic arches. Both deliver seasonal specials like Lamb Chops and artfully plated spring vegetables.

Le Coucou is celebrating Easter with a refined five-course “Déjeuner de Pâques” on April 20th from 11:30am–3pm. Highlights include quail eggs with crab, stuffed morels, and spring lamb, served in an elegant, white-tablecloth setting. $190 per person.

If you’re after something more exotic, Hutong NYC dials up the drama with Flaming Peking Duck and delightful dim sum, while Wayan and Ma•dé bring French-Indonesian fusion to the table with brunch dishes like Pandan French Toast and Golden Crab Dip.

Down at The Fulton, seafood lovers can dig into Lobster Scrambled Eggs for Easter Brunch (12pm-3pm) and Rack of Lamb for dinner (5pm-8pm), with views of the river and desserts like Rhubarb Cheesecake and Caramelized Lemon Tart to round out the Easter meal.

Cathedrale is pulling out all the stops this Easter with live music by Jazz Great Antoine Drye, a showstopping crudites "Grand Aioli" Chef's Table, fresh-made crêpe station for brunch,carving stations for dinner, house-baked viennoiseries, and more for $75pp (brunch and dinner). Kids under 12 eat free.

For a cultural twist, estiatorio Milos celebrates Greek Easter with a spit-roasted lamb, tsoureki, and live music. Their post-midnight feast in Midtown is a city rarity, while Hudson Yards hosts a sunlit brunch.

Over on the Upper East Side, Café Commerce serves Easter comfort with Harold’s Famous Chicken, Rigatoni Carbonara, and Leg of Lamb—plus the return of Harold Moore’s beloved Coconut Cake.

For the grand finale, Le Pavillon offers a $175 Michelin-starred feast inside a lush indoor garden with elevated dishes like roasted quail, seared bay scallops with winter truffle, and Harry's berry strawberry frasier with rhubarb jam, alongside a kid-friendly prix fixe ($95).

Easter isn’t complete without sweets, and Gargiulo’s keeps Italian tradition alive with pastiera—a fragrant, grain-based ricotta pie made by Chef Matthew Cutolo using his late uncle’s memory-steeped method.

Looking for some fun activities for the kids, head over to the Marriott Marquis Broadway Lounge on April 20th for a festive brunch and what's billed as Manhattan’s largest indoor egg hunt.

And for those who take chocolate seriously, Li-Lac Chocolates’ Giant Chocolate Egg can feed 125 people, while Sugar Plum Chocolates offers treat boxes bursting with color and flavor—from chocolate sandwich cookies to Zombie Bunnies.
