Igloos and Heated Cabins Bring Holiday Cheer to NYC

The Cabins at Pier 17 in the Seaport
New Yorkers are an inventive bunch especially when it comes to celebrating the holidays. Individual cabins are the newest trend. A village of socially distanced see-through cabins has emerged on the rooftop of Pier 17 in the Seaport, replacing the ice skating rink. Each cabin has heated seating for small groups and their own virtual fireplace. Visitors can enjoy drinks and bites.

At the Watermark Bar nearby, on the river's edge, larger groups can congregate at picnic tables inside frosted cabins, while at Rockefeller Center, City Winery has installed private igloos where you can share a glass of wine and some bites with friends.
