Katsuya, with its international reach, has opened inside Citizens New York, a culinary market we first told you about at Manhattan West. It is one of two full service restaurants that anchor the space. The other is Casa Dani, Chef Dani Garcia's salute to Spain.
Katsuya is named after chef Katsuya Uechi whose foods “translates Japanese flavors for the American palate." Look for sushi and sashimi along with unique rolls and specialty cocktails. The elegant space designed by the Rockwell Group provides plenty of Asian flare.
Adjoining Katsuya within Citizens New York is innovative cocktail lounge, S Bar, featuring a fresh cocktail menu designed by award-winning mixologist combinining simple spirits with unexpected ingredients like aloe vera, yuzu tonic, and umami bitters. Complementing the inventive cocktails is a Katsuya-inspired menu which includes dishes like yellowtail jalapeno, Albacore Sashimi and Pop Rock Shrimp with a spicy ponzu mayo.
Katsuya is located at 398 10th Ave (33rd St) New York, NY (212) 920- 8616
