The Good Batch is launching its new Peach Cobble Cookie in partnership with Camari Mick, pastry chef at Raf’s and The Musket Room. In celebration of late summer peaches, the chewy brown sugar cookie is made with locally sourced whole wheat flour, housemade peach jam, and a sprinkling of brown butter crumb.  The cookies are available at The Good Batch’s Clinton Hill bakery, and Market 57 locations through mid-September.

Dominique Ansel posted an adorable video of his son getting a glimpse of a new Cookie Shot robotic vending machine.  Ansel saying the “little guy” thought it was “magical.” At last check, the video had nearly 9,000 views.

Mercado Little Spain will be celebrating La Tomatina later this month with a special tomato-inspired menu from August 30 to September 4.  La Tomatina is a world-famous food fight in the Spanish town of Buñol held every year on the last Wednesday of August. La Barra is offering its Vaso de gazpacho, an iconic gazpacho served with crispy croutons. Spanish Diner is making a tomato and watermelon salad that includes heirloom tomatoes, watermelon, goat cheese, pistachios, olive oil, and Px vinegar reduction. For dessert, a pan con tomate is available with olive oil ice cream, tomato jam and caramelized bread.

ALF Bakery is now taking online pre-orders for pick-up and delivery. A wide selection of Amadou Ly’s signature items are available, including laminated baguettes, croissants and assorted box of viennoiserie. Orders are taken 48 hours in advance and should be placed by 1pm.

Maui Chop House Food Truck on Long Island is helping to raise funds for the victims of the Maui wildfires. Maui Chop House says people who donate $25 or more to hawaiicommunityfoundation.org can take a screen shot of their donation, and send it to them to enter a raffle to win a FOOD TRUCK PARTY for 10. The raffle runs through the end of September. A live drawing will be held on Sunday, October 1st at 9 am, according to an Instagram post.
