Oyster Time: Places to Try for National Oyster Day on August 5

Pando Park (450 Park Avenue South) and Pando 39 (54 W 39th St.), will serve $1 oysters on National Oyster Day in addition to $15 Deviled Pearls, which are a trio of deviled eggs topped with lightly fried Blue Point Oysters and accompanied with Sriracha Aioli, Pickled Vegetables and a Classic Lemon Drizzle. And if you can't make it for the holiday, don't fret because Pando Park and Pando 39 prices their oysters at $1.50 daily.

Bell Book & Candle (141 W 10th St) is an underground escape in the West Village that revolves around thelocal, organic and sustainable and procurement of its ingredients, which is seasonally influenced and in many times sourced from its rooftop garden. In honor of National Oyster Day, they’ll offer $1.50 raw and $2.50 baked oysters all day at the bar. Hortus NYC (271 5th Ave) is offering Oyster selections from both the east and west coast: Island Creek (East): Half Dozen – $14 | 1 Dozen – $26 | 2 Dozen – $45; Kumamoto (West): One – $4 | Half Dozen – $24 | 1 Dozen – $45. Guests can also enjoy the large HORTUS Royal Platter composed of chilled lobster tail, hamachi crudo, shrimp cocktail, and one dozen oysters.

Blu on the Hudson (1200 Harbor Boulevard) in Weehawken, New Jersey with stunning views of New York City is offering an extensive raw bar selection that offers guests Dressed East Coast Oysters, six oysters on the half shell dressed with picked jicama, salmon roe, and Meyer lemon; as well as Seafood Towers with shrimp, oysters, dressed clams, snow crab claws and more.

HALIFAX (225 River St) in Hoboken with its own Manhattan views is offering oysters two ways: Naked - 6 local oysters, champagne mignonette, and cocktail sauce for $23; and ‘Dressed’ - 6 local oysters, seaweed mignonette, sunchoke chips, and trout caviar for $26. A Seafood Tower for $98 also features local oysters, topneck clams, poached shrimp, lobster tail, bass tartar, with crostini.
