NYC restaurants offering Thanksgiving Day meals

Tapas, the East Village restaurant that is helmed by Galicia-native, Chef/Owner Ruben Rodriguez will be featuring a prix-fixe tapas style menu at $85 per person with six courses and a choice of dessert as well as a choice of sangria, red/white wine or beer.

Highlights on the menu will include Fideua (Catalan styled toasted paella with mussels, scallops, clams, seaweed, tobiko and aioli); Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce); Carpaccio De Portobello (Portobello marinated in truffle oil, topped with manchego cheese, marcona almonds and saffron salt); and Rabo Guisad (tempranillo braised oxtail, veal demi-glace), among others.

Hortus NYC, the Michelin-recognized restaurant that continues to evolve its approach to modern Asian cuisine, will be featuring a $70 prix-fixe menu this Thanksgiving. Executive Chef Youjin Jung’s menu will spotlight the following:

HORTUS Royal Platter with chilled lobster tail, tuna tataki, and shrimp cocktail.
Truffle Noodles with assorted mushrooms and Thai bird chili.
Guests can also choose one appetizer and one main with options such as:

Appetizers: Pumpkin Soup with grilled bread, cilantro espuma, pumpkin seeds; Autumn Salad with roasted delicata squash, radicchio pine nut dressing.

Main Dishes: Seabass with charred eggplant puree, lotus root chips; Duck with spicy braised mu (Korean radish) orange, duck jus.

Dessert: Matcha Tiramisu; Monaka Ice Cream available in black sesame, green tea or vanilla.

Guests can also accompany their meal with a $40 wine pairiing.

Prime 1024, the modern Italian steakhouse in Roslyn on Long Island, will be featuring a $85 prix-fixe menu this Thanksgiving. The menu, which was created by Chef Greg Yarrow will spotlight the following:

Choice of Soups: Butternut Squash Soup with crispy pancetta, Creamy TurkeySoup, or Pumpkin Lobster Bisque

Choice of Primi: Harvest Salad with arugula, sweet potato, cranberries, pecans, goat cheese and Dijon maple dressing, Beet Salad with ricotta and honey, Meatballs, or Clams Oreganata

Secondi (Family Style): Turkey with traditional stuffing; Ham and Pumpkin Sage Ravioli

Choice of Three Sides: Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Mac – n – Cheese, Pecan Crusted Sweet Potato Mash, Creamy Truffle Spinach, Pan Fried Brussel Sprouts, Creamed Corn, or Green Bean Casserole

Desserts: For The Table: Pecan Pie, Apple Pie and Pumpkin Pie

Guests can also supplement their meal with a la carte options or specialty wines.

Prime 1024 will have three seating times at 12:00pm - 12:45pm, 3:00pm - 3:45pm and 5:30pm - 6:15pm, available indoors and outdoors (heated) with a two-hour limit.

Alfie’s Bar & Kitchen, the Hell’s Kitchen favorite with a refreshed New American Gastro Pub menu, will be open for Thanksgiving brunch and dinner.

Executive Chef Darren Pettigrew’s innovative brunch specials will include:

Korean Fried Chicken on a biscuit with a sunny-side up egg, black garlic aioli, butter lettuce, romesco on a fresh biscuit served with mixed greens. Banana cheesecake pancakes with a crunchy peanut butter crumble.

Highlighted dinner options include:

Appetizers: OH.MY.MAC with local burrata on top of hot & creamy mac & cheese with a crispy breadcrumb topping. Served with two pieces of romesco bruschetta; Butternut Squash Soup with topped with fried sage and toasted pumpkin seeds.

Main Dish: Classic Fish & Chips with beer battered pollock, mushy peas, preserved lemon, caper berries, choice of hand-cut fries or sweet potato fries; Char Grilled Steak Frites with 12oz brant beef NY Strip with a peppercorn sauce & hand-cut french fries.

Brunch is available from 11:00am - 4:00pm., and dinner is available from 5:00pm - 10:00pm indoors or in their heated outdoor seating arrangement. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant.

Estuary: Le Bernardin alumnus Chef Johnathan Rodriguez and Head Patissier Christophe Toury have created delicious dine-in, takeout, and delivery offerings to satisfy any and all holiday needs.

Dine-In: Estuary’s 3-course prix-fixe menu features all of the classic Thanksgiving flavors, such as roast D’Artagnan turkey served with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, & cranberry sauce. Plus, hearty appetizers like Mushroom Tortellini w/ Black Truffles and Pumpkin Soup, and additional entrees like Norweigan Trout in Saffron Broth or Pork Loin w/ Butternut Squash.

$65pp, kids $30; served 12-8pm. Reservations can be made online or via phone (718-521-6744). Seating on heated patio/prive house or indoor at 25% capacity.

To-Go: Anyone wanting to enjoy the holiday at home can order one of Estuary’s 6 different To-Go packages for pick up or delivery, including full dinners for up to 10 people, whole roasted D’Artagnan turkeys, and a trio of Thanksgiving pies via sister bakery Ebb & Flow: French Apple Crumb, Pecan, or Pumpkin Pie, all by Head Patissier Christophe Toury ($32 ea, or $85 for all three).

MIFUNE: New York, the Michelin-recognized progressive and innovative Japanese restaurant in Midtown East, Thanksgiving Eve and Day prix fixe menu, which will be priced at $180 per person and plate seven-courses with an optional $70 wine or sake pairing.

The menu will spotlight their annual Thanksgiving signature organic Turkey Truffle Foie Gras Pie with Foie Gras Gravy, from Chef Yuu Shimano (previously of Guy Savoy’s eponymous three Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris) and Chef Tomohiro Urata (previously of three Michelin-starred La Maison Troisgros in Roanne, France). Other dishes will include: Porcini Mushroom Cream Soup with Black Truffle, Alaskan King Crab and Caviar with Tosazu Gelée, Pan Seared Scallop and Black Truffle with Lotus Root Purée and Pedro Ximénez Foam, Grilled New York Fluke with Yuzu Croûte and Bonito-Kombu Beurre Blanc, Japanese Wagyu A5 Rank and Japanese Uni Sushi, and Gâteau Opéra with Kabocha Pumpkin Custard Cream and Fruits Rouge Sorbet

The restaurant will have two seatings at 5:30pm and 8pm with limited indoor seating and 4 semi-private outdoor bubble tents, which can seat up to 6 people per table.

The restaurant’s number one priority is the safety of their diners, so masks and gloves will be worn by the staff with tables set six feet apart. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
