Where to Celebrate Bastille Day in New York City

The French Institute Alliance Française's annual Bastille Day fête is just days away and there is no better way to celebrate the day than with a Rosé & Bubbly party in its chic Skyroom. Indulge in an outstanding selection of summer wines courtesy of Vineyard Brands including Champagne Delamotte, La Vieille Ferme, Miraval Rosé, and STUDIO by Miraval. The wines will be coupled with delicious madeleines and mini quiches from Miss Madeleine, macarons from Thierry Atlan, and cheese from Cheese2U.com. Topping off the festivities will be a live performance by Saint Martin’s renowned steel drum band Jolly Boys. Sunday, July 16 from 1–2:30pm and 3:30–5pm in the FIAF Skyroom, 22 East 60th Street, NYC. Benoit will be serving up a special menu in honor of the holiday on July 14. Guests can come in for lunch or dinner on Bastille Day and enjoy Benoit’s locally-loved lobster roll (BACK EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE HOLIDAY!), beef ribeye with Bearnaise sauce and indulge in a summer-centric tarte au fraise (strawberry tart) for dessert. Along with the special menu, a DJ will be providing festive music to accompany the festive dishes. Also, Benoit will be participating in FIAF’s anticipated Bastille Day Celebration. The restaurant’s booth will feature Pan Bagnat, Choux au Craquelin and mocktails to cool down.

Experience a celebration like no other at Sofitel New York in honor of Bastille Day (July 14), the National Day of France, coinciding with the hotel's 23rd Anniversary. Guests can immerse themselves in the captivating fusion of French charm and New York City flair that defines Sofitel New York including Mademoiselle Gaby Bar and Gaby Brasserie. Menu options include Onion Soup Gratinée; Pan Seared Striped Bass with Sugar Snap Peas, Asparagus, Aromatic Jasmine Rice, and Citrus Beurre Blanc; and Gianduja Chocolate Tartlet, Macaron for dessert. Also, savor the Gaby Darling, Sofitel's limited summer cocktail. This twist on the classic Caipirinha combines gin with fresh ginger and jalapeno, creating a refreshing and spicy delight.

Claudette, the French restaurant on lower Fifth Ave with a coastal vibe, will be celebrating Bastille Day on Friday 7/14 with $9 glasses of rosé all day. They will also be offering a special "Dark and Storm the Bastille" cocktail for $10. Visitors will also find an assortment of fresh fish and steaks simply grilled along with summer salads, crispy artichokes and frito misto, among others.

There is no better place to celebrate Bastille Day on July 14 than at La Goulue, the beloved French bistro experience on the Upper East Side. Helmed by the talented Executive Chef Antoine Camin, La Goulue serves up an array of French classics with powerful flavor profiles. Highlighted dishes include: Steak Au Poivre, 12 oz. New York strip with green peppercorn sauce and hand cut French fries; Farci de Crabe, Tomates Olivettes served with Peekytoe crab salad in a Madras curry and vine-ripe tomatoes; Escalope de Saumon a l’Oseille, Flash-cooked Scottish salmon and sorrel velouté; among others. Finish the meal with a classic Tarte Tatin, caramelized upside-down apple tart with Vermont crème fraiche.
